Poor Iris is now one of our longest stayers, having been with us over a year now, and she would LOVE a permanent home of her own. Iris originally came into our care when her owner had to move and could not find a rental property with a garden that would allow pets. Iris is pure white and very pretty. She is a quiet, gentle cat who was very timid to begin with as she struggled to live in a home with 2 other cats, so Iris will need a home where she is the ONLY pet. However, in the loving care of her fosterers she has become much braver. She will still hdde when anyone she doesn’t know comes to visit, but when it is just her foster mum and dad, she is happy to be with them. Iris is neutered and microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and has been wormed and fleaed. Iris would love a home with a garden that can be accessed via a cat flap as this is what she is used to.
Foster home update: Iris has improved in confidence as she’s no longer competing with other cats and has blossomed into a nice little cat. She’s very chatty and sociable in the evening but likes to sleep during the day. She enjoys being outside but isn’t keen on the cold weather! She plays with her dangler toy in the mornings and loves being brushed. She does need a quiet home as it’s taking her a while to get used to our regular house activity, although she is not bothered by my sewing machine!
