Shadow is a handsome, black, male cat who has been living as a stray for many months. His rescuer reported his plight to ARC and fed and looked after him until we eventually had space to take Shadow into our care. Shadow has gained a lot of confidence in his loving foster home, and he loves a lap to lie on! He is greatly enjoying the comforts of living in a home and also enjoys exploring outside. Very occasionally, now becoming increasingly rare, Shadow will nip so we do not think he is suitable to be homed with young children. Shadow’s foster parents love him very much and Shadow is certainly very happy to be warm and safe after many months spent fending for homself.
Shadow has been castrated, microchipped, wormed and fleaed, and is now fully vaccinated.
Update from foster home: ‘Shadow absolutely loves to snuggle on your lap or lay beside you on the sofa. As we have been fostering Shadow for some time now, he is using the cat flap to go out and explore. He always announces his return with some chatter just so you know he’s home and even sometimes to let you know when he is heading out! Shadow has a very good appetite, uses his litter tray perfectly and loves a treat or two or three or four! Shadow is happy to be brushed and doesn’t mind being picked up, but does tend to wriggle to get down after a couple of minutes. Shadow’s would love a quiet, adult home where his new owners will be home the majority of the time. He also must have access to safe outside space via a cat flap. We will struggle to let Shadow go as we have grown so fond of him but know he needs to find his forever home.’
