At ARC, we’re excited to share some of our happiest adoption stories and most heart-warming ‘rescue tails’ with you!
For almost 25 years, ARC has been helping animals find loving new homes. From rabbits and cats to guinea pigs (and the occasional dog), we’re proud to rehome all kinds of small animals every year.
Thank you to our amazing adopters, volunteers and supporters for making so many happy endings possible — we couldn’t do it without you!
We rescued Caspian from ARC and were in love from the moment we saw his picture.
The adoption process was thorough and we loved the updates from Caspian’s fosterer while we waited for him to come home.
Caspian is a delight, full of personality, with a white moustache that makes us melt.

ARC have been absolutely wonderful throughout every step of my pet adoption journey. Over time I’ve adopted rabbits, guinea pigs, and most recently our lovely dog Basil, and the support has been consistently outstanding. They take real care to guide you towards the right pet, offering thoughtful advice before, during, and long after adoption.
Nothing ever feels rushed, it’s clear they genuinely care about both the animals and the people adopting them. Any time I’ve had questions or needed reassurance, they’ve been there with knowledgeable, compassionate support. Their Facebook group for adopters is another fantastic resource. It’s a welcoming community where you can share updates, ask for advice, and learn from others’ experiences, which makes a huge difference, especially when settling a new pet into your home.
I can’t recommend ARC highly enough. Their dedication, kindness, and ongoing support truly set them apart, and I’m so grateful for the role they’ve played in bringing Basil and our other ARC pets into our lives.

We adopted our two rabbits, Marble and Coco, from ARC and we’re so grateful for all the support and advice. From the moment we approached ARC looking for a kitten for our young daughter, they couldn’t have been more helpful, efficient & supportive! We expressed our wish for a playful boy kitten and they happened to have one that had just been fostered. I was then put in touch with the fosterer (Julie) who was extremely helpful. She happily answered all my questions, and I had a few as we had never owned a cat before! Little Henry arrived in our home and quickly settled in.
We soon realised that he needed a sibling for company (& play fighting!) and contacted ARC once again. They suggested pairing him with a girl kitten and also happened to have one recently fostered. Donna was the fosterer on this occasion & again, couldn’t have been more helpful. Little Alice arrived and the two have been inseparable ever since! They are total opposites but really complement each other!
