Little Lyra was born and raised in someone’s garden to her friendly, stray mum. Fortunately, the people in whose garden she was living handled Lyra to make sure she did not grow up feral. They also asked ARC for help and we were able to take Lyra in. Once Lyra was with us, she became very unwell with sickness and diarrhoea but after veterinary treatment she is now fully recovered and tearing around her foster home, playing with anything she can find! She takes absolutely no notice of her foster mum’s 2 cat-friendly Labradors but is still a little reticent with her foster mum probably due to the limited socialiasation she had as a small kitten and the fact that her foster mum was having to medocate her several times a day, for a week- something she hated!
Lyra has been wormed and fleaed, had a health check, been microchipped and started her vaccinations. Lyra will need a booster vaccination around 7th October and to be spayed when she is 5 months so any adopter will need to be able to cover the cost of these procedures.
