Little Pepper was bought online but within 24 hours she was taken to the vets, collapsed.
She had intensive nursing, medication and fluids and has recovered well.
Tests were done but it appears it was just her huge flea infestation and worm burden, paired with poor nutrition that had made her so ill. She definitely would not have survived without prompt veterinary care.
Her new owners could not afford the vet bill so she came into our ownership.
Pepper has been fostered by one of the nurses caring for her and is now ready for her forever home. This is how her fosterer describes her:
She is a very confident, independent little girl. She doesn’t mind being picked up but she’d much rather be running around playing with her toys or playing with you . She is a massive foodie. Once she’s worn herself out she loves her chest being stroked and will fall asleep on the sofa next to you.
Pepper is around 10 weeks old now and has had her first vaccine.
Pepper will need her booster vaccinations when she is 12 weeks old, and to be spayed in October so any adopter must be able to cover the cost of these procedures.
