Squirrel is an adorable 6 month old neutered boar. He is no trouble to look after and is very affectionate. He enjoys cuddles and purrs contentedly all the time you stroke him. Otherwise he is not tremendously vocal, although he might be more spirited once he’s bonded with a single female or female pair of Guinea pigs.

He is a very happy chappy, although sometimes a little afraid of actually being picked up, but once he is, he’s happy to have lap time. He is a very healthy boy and has been vet checked and passed with flying colours.

He is a little bit fussy with food. He loves fresh dandelion leaves (high in calcium so don’t over feed) and fresh green grass. He will also have bamboo but at the moment he isn’t too keen on red pepper, celery, apart from the leaves or kale. He likes carrots and a small piece of apple as a treat. He will eat some lettuce but not any. Having said that, all that piggies can completely change their likes and dislikes and behaviour when they find a friend that they are happy with and whose behaviour and eating habits they can copy.

Squirrel has a gorgeous smooth coat with a crown, he is a very beautiful boy who will be out of quarantine on March 7th so bonding will be possible from the weekend of March 7. Bonding usually takes place at my house in Feltham, TW13 5LU.
He needs a companion a little older than he is to show him the ropes.

Squirrel will be looking for an indoor home with plenty of enrichment and Space. Our minimum rehoming requirements for a pair is a 4×2 C&C (or bigger!) or a 140cm single level cage. And bigger if he’s joining a trio or small group.
