Lilly was originally brought across from France as a family pet but her original owners could not keep her due to rental property rules. She was temporarily rehomed with their family members in 2021 and ended up on a website for rehoming, where she was spotted by a cat lover who took her in as a private rescue as she was concerned for her welfare. Lilly was subsequently privately rehomed to a local family who had her until July 2026. Unfortunately, through no fault of her own, Lilly was handed back to the original rescuer in July as the new family were going to live abroad. Lilly has since received a vet check up, flea and worm treatment and has restarted her vaccinations. She does have some missing teeth but otherwise is healthy and seems to be eating well. Should she need a dental then the original rescuer will pay for this treatment. Thankfully she was spayed by the original owners. Lilly loves her food especially wet food which she is quite vocal about when she is hungry! She is very friendly but will need to be the only cat in the house as she does not like other felines, which unfortunately is another reason she is looking for a new home. She enjoys spending time outside, pottering around her house and going to sit on the roof. It’s not clear whether she would get on with dogs but given her reaction to other cats she might find this stressful. Lilly is quite independent, and deserves a loving forever home where she can relax without other cats upsetting her and the freedom to come and go as she pleases, following the necessary two to three weeks indoors. She is easy to handle although isn’t terribly keen on being picked up (she grumbles a bit), but loves being stroked and brushed and generally being around kind humans. In both of her previous homes she has lived with young to teenage aged children so could be ideal for a family. She’s a very beautiful cat, pure white with amber eyes, and her hearing is very good, if you call her she will come to you. She was originally named ‘Princesse’ which is rather fitting.
