Merlin came into ARC’s care as his family were moving to the Middle East and felt he was too old to make such a long journey and adjust to life in a different country. Merlin a little nervous around people so a quiet environment would be preferable with definitely no dogs! He does tend to enjoy going out, but not for long and never strays very far, preferring to just observe what’s going on. Once he gets to know you he’s very affectionate but is not a lap cat, preferring to sit next to you. He’s just had a dental and extractions and, while he was at the vet he had a bloss test that has shown the start of hyperthyroidism so he will be starting medication soon.
As Merlin is an older boy, ARC will cover hos veterinary costs for all age related problems providing he is seen at either Twickenham Veterinary Surgery or VEts4Pets in feltham where ARC has accounts.
