ARC has taken in two much-loved older Jack Russell terriers, Maggie and Peggy, whose elderly owner sadly died. Her bereaved family had tried numerous dog rescue charities and everywhere was full. And these girls were difficult to home due to their age and the fact Maggie is blind and has diabetes and needs insulin injections twice a day. Luckily ARC was in a position to help and we took them both in, vaccinated them and gave them dentals, and found them a wonderful forever foster home together. We regularly see the girls with their amazing foster mum Amanda who is very focused on keeping Maggie’s blood sugar levels stable and both dogs in tip top condition. ARC will always provide veterinary assistance for these two older dogs.
